This award is given to the builder,
developer, designer, or consultant of a project that demonstrates
outstanding preservation of architectural design to a Heritage building
constructed prior to 1950.
Criteria
Judges will award points for:

Efforts to rehabilitate and preserve original character elements
-
Attention to original materials, forms,
spatial configurations
-
Historic and cultural associations
-
Compatibility of new construction with the
building's original design and character
-
Recycling, reuse, or other methods mitigating
impact on the historic nature of the structure
-
Energy efficiency upgrades
-
Seismic upgrades
The
cost per square foot of construction, excluding land cost, must be
identified on entry form.

Project Statement – In 200
words or less, describe the project and explain how it meets the criteria
listed above (bullet form is recommended).

CD, DVD or USB flash drive
with eight digital images of the
following:

two “before” images of the project
- six "after" images supporting your heritage efforts.
**Images must be clearly named and numbered
“Before” and “After”.

One 5”x7” (before) and
one 8”x10” (after) colour photo print, of the same area.

One copy of floor
plan on 8 ½” x 11” paper.
-
One copy of site plan on 8
½” x 11” paper.
