“Building Better Futures" Community Award
This award will be given to a Canadian Home
Builders’ Association member and/or community leader who has gone beyond the industry and its
partners, to assist in the community when and where a need has been felt.
Nominations shall e submitted in writing to the Canadian Home
Builders’ Association - Victoria, no form or fee required for nomination. This award will not necessarily be
presented
every year. |

Bill Wansbrough Memorial Award This award honours the contribution made by Bill Wansbrough to the residential construction industry. It is donated in his memory to recognize significant individual achievements that do not necessarily fit into any of the categories of the CARE Awards. This award will not necessarily be presented every year. |

CHBA Student Carpentry Award At the CARE Awards, CHBA
will present a deserving student with a $500 gift certificate to buy "the
tools of the trade."

CHBA-Victoria Post-Secondary Trades Awards The Canadian Home Builders' Association – Victoria sponsor2 two Camosun College Awards.
Although the Awards are presented at Camosun College in the spring, CHBA – Victoria will also recognize the recipients of these awards at the 2010 CARE Awards.
In addition, CHBA - Victoria will sponsor a student award for RCITO's trades program. |

Best Apprentice CHBA will honour one of its member's Apprentices demonstrating dedication and commitment to his/her work and the industry. The Best Apprentice will receive a $500 gift certificate to buy "the tools of the trade." This award is open to Apprentices who are currently employed by a CHBA member on Vancouver Island. Please contact the CHBA - Victoria office for an application. This award will not necessarily be presented every year. |

Excellence In Creating Housing Affordability This award will be given to organizations demonstrating leadership in fostering cooperation between public and private sectors in addressing housing affordability. Entry will be judged on initiatives between any level of government and industry including plans or strategies to improve affordable housing; reduction or streamlining of the regulatory process; innovative public/private partnerships; initiatives that address growth management and promote high-density housing; innovative solutions that provide additional choice and add quality of life for consumers. This award is open to all Vancouver Island CHBA members. In order to nominate an organization for this award, please submit a letter outlining the achievements of the organization. This award will not necessarily be presented every year. |
