UGLY BATHROOM CONTEST

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
 

1.         PLEASE NOTE: By entering this contest, entrants agree to have their bathroom photos displayed online at the CHBA-Victoria website, and at the 2012 Home and Garden Show. Photos showing people are ineligible.     

2.        Send one photo of your bathroom to contest@chbavictoria.com. Include  “Ugly Bathroom Contest” in the subject line. Also add your name and phone number in your email for contact purposes. Entrants may also bring a photo to the Home and Garden Show, March 9 – 11, 2012. One entry per person.   

3.        All entries must be received by CHBA-Victoria by 4 pm, Sunday  March 11, 2012.

4.        Eligible entries must be completed residential bathrooms containing fixtures including a shower and/or bathtub, toilet, and sink.

5.        The ugliest bathroom winner will be decided at the sole discretion of the judges appointed by CHBA.

6.        One entry will be selected, and a Prize Package will be awarded consisting of:

• Two hour design consultation with either Ines Hanl or Jenny Martin.

• Gift certificate with a total retail value of up to $5,000 for bathroom fixtures including faucets,  bathtub or shower, toilet and sink. The gift certificate has no cash value and is valid for products only from suppliers selected by CHBA-Victoria. 

7.        The Contest Winner will be announced and contacted by March 30, 2012.

8.        The Contest Winner agrees to participate in all promotional opportunities and arrangements in regards to receiving the prize, including publicizing their name and display of their entry bathroom.

9.        There is no purchase necessary to enter this contest. 

 

RULES

 

1.         The contest is open to all Vancouver Island residents, aged 19 years and older, except members, employees and immediate families of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association and participating sponsors.

2.        One entry per person. The entrant must reside at the residence containing the bathroom. Bathroom entries from commercial premises will not be accepted.    

3.         The contest will open for entries on February 20, 2012 and will close at 4 pm Sunday, March 11, 2012. CHBA - Victoria reserves the right to change these dates without prior notice.

4.        There will be one (1) prize package awarded. The winner will be contacted by telephone no later than Friday, March 30, 2012.

5.        If, for any reason CHBA - Victoria cannot contact a winner by 12 midnight March 30, CHBA-Victoria may, at their sole discretion, disqualify the winner and draw a new winner from the entries.

6.        Odds of winning the Prize Package are dependent upon the number of entries received and decision of the judges.

7.         The approximate retail value of the prize package is $5,000. 

8.        The prize package is valid and the winner must make arrangements for transportation of the prize/fixtures. The prize is non-transferable, has no cash value, and must be accepted as awarded.

9.        The Prize Winner agrees to participate in all promotional opportunities and arrangements in regards to receiving the prize.

10.    The winner must correctly answer a skill-testing question before receiving the prize.

11.     CHBA - Victoria and participating sponsors will not be responsible or liable in any way in regards to the prize, or any aspect of the prize, not being available, due to circumstances beyond our control.

12.    CHBA - Victoria and participating sponsors will not be responsible or liable in any way for any injury, of any   degree, including death, in regards to this prize.

13.     The decision of CHBA - Victoria in regards to the rules, and interpretations of these rules, is final.
