CHBA is comprised of 8,000 members across Canada. Locally, our 200 members extend from the Cowichan Valley to Sooke, including the Saanich Peninsula and Salt Spring Island. Over half of are home builders and renovators providing employment for thousands of trades, suppliers and retailers in our region. When considering a home project, be sure to hire a CHBA builder or renovator familiar with ongoing changes to the building code. Through CHBA’s education programs, our members keep up-to-date on technology, regulations, and new products and materials in housing. For example, programs like Built Green™ offer greater energy efficiency, healthier indoor air, and preservation of natural resources. All Built Green™ Builders take a mandatory education and training program to build your new energy efficient, environment-friendly home. CHBA-Victoria members also believe in giving back through fundraisers for the BC Children's Hospital Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Goldstream Chum Program, CFAX Santa’s Anonymous, Times-Colonist Christmas Fund, and Young Life, making our community a better place to live.
