the Benefits of Advantages The Canadian Home Builders' Association (CHBA) is a national organization comprised of over 6500 builders, designers, trades, suppliers and financial institutions across Canada. CHBA’s National Office is dedicated to addressing National Building Code and other code and regulatory issues; CHBA’s Provincial Office is dedicated to addressing issues involving WCB, Building Code, Employment Standards, apprenticeship programs, and more; CHBA-Victoria Builders’ Council liaises with local municipalities to address building permits, inspections, taxes, development issues, and housing affordability. CHBA members have the opportunity to consult with officials at all levels of government on key issues affecting their businesses! Education & Training Education and training is the mark of professionalism. Only CHBA offers courses tailored to you and your home building business. Through educational seminars, workshops, and courses like Certified Residential Builder, (CRB) organized by CHBA-Victoria and CHBA-BC, you and your associates can gain valuable knowledge on the latest industry changes, trends and opportunities. Locally, CHBA works with Camosun College to deliver Building Envelope Solutions Theory and Practice - (BEST) a must for building durable structures on the West Coast.
