the Benefits of Advantages The Canadian Home Builders' Association (CHBA) is a national organization over 8,000 builders, designers, trades, suppliers and financial institutions across Canada. Participation in CHBA's Builders' Council, Suppliers and Trades Council, Home Show Committee, and CARE Awards Committee offers members an opportunity to take advantage of business development opportunities, and promote their business to other members and the public. CHBA is the voice of the residential home building industry. By working together, CHBA members increase their advocacy on behalf of consumers and the industry for housing affordability, education and training, and professionalism. CHBA provides the sounding board where ideas, suggestions and problems relating to home building and renovation are tested by technical research and experience. You save time and money by letting CHBA work for you to address building standards, government regulations, technical problems, training & education, and more. Representation Few individual companies can make a difference in the system but by working together our members have a respected and powerful voice at all levels of government. CHBA’s National Office is dedicated to addressing National Building Code and other code and regulatory issues. CHBA’s Provincial Office is dedicated to addressing issues involving WCB, Building Code, Employment Standards, apprenticeship programs, and more. CHBA-Victoria Builders’ Council liaises with local municipalities to address building permits, inspections, taxes, development issues, and housing affordability. Education & Training Education and training is the mark of professionalism. Only CHBA offers courses tailored to you and your home building business. Through educational seminars, workshops, and courses like Built Green and Certified Residential Builder, (CRB), you and your associates can gain valuable knowledge on the latest industry trends and opportunities.
