Local Building Regulation Bylaws Now Online

CHBA reps have been meeting with local building official reps to encourage greater consistency in code interpretations and inspection procedures.

As a result, CHBA has uploaded the local Building Regulation Bylaws to our website, www.chbavictoria.com. Inspectors must follow these bylaws when inspecting builders’ projects. It is useful to be familiar with these regulations to avoid any issues raised by inspectors that are outside of the bylaw.

We are continuing to work on other issues, including rainscreen bulletin interpretations and the upcoming Green Building Code.
